Wake Forest receives STARS Gold rating for sustainability achievements

Wake Forest University has earned a STARS Gold rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System measures and encourages sustainability in all aspects of higher education. 


University assessing conditions caused by storm; operations normal

This announcement was emailed to students, faculty and staff on Oct. 11 through the Wake Alert system:

The University’s Crisis Management Team (CMT) and other University officials have stayed alert throughout the day to the storm that passed through the area and continue to monitor the effects on campus and at University facilities, including Wake Downtown and the Charlotte Center.


Tornado watch issued for Forsyth County until 9 p.m. today

This announcement was e-mailed to students, faculty and staff on Oct. 11 by Wake Forest Communications and External Relations:

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for our area (Forsyth County) until 9 p.m. today. A tornado watch means tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area.
