Allison McWilliams: Reflect on learning

Allison McWilliams is assistant vice president, mentoring and alumni personal & career development. She writes occasional articles for Inside WFU. This is her fifth for the spring semester.  In each, she shares observations and suggestions with faculty and staff from her professional experiences with students.


Proposals funded: Rejeski, Iltis, Brubaker

Congratulations to Jack Rejeski, professor of health and exercise science, whose proposal entitled “Molecular transducers of physical activity consortium coordinating center (CCC)” has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and by (subaward/subcontract from) the University of Florida.


Reynolda Village, House, Gardens hires associate director of marketing

The following is a guest post from Reynolda Village, House and Gardens:As part of Reynolda’s return toward a unified brand, leadership within Reynolda and at Wake Forest have named Jodi Tonsic Reynolda associate director of marketing, a new position created to elevate Reynolda’s status as both a local treasure and tourist destination. Tonsic will be responsible for bringing together all three of the estate’s historic components – the museum, the gardens and the village – into a unified visitor experience.


Deacs Donate program resumes at residence halls

The following message was emailed to students, faculty and staff on April 29 on behalf of Residence Life and Housing:Soon, the spring semester will conclude and more than 4,000 students will move out of our Residence Life communities.  As a part of our closing process each spring, we partner with Goodwill in Winston-Salem on our Deacs Donate program.
