Class of the finest: Retiring faculty

Nine professors — in art, counseling, divinity, economics, history, religion, journalism, classical languages and East Asian languages — are retiring this year, after leaving an indelible mark on generations of students dating back to the 1970s.


Gilmore receives award

Anne Gilmore, shop associate at the Museum of Anthropology, received the 2011 Staff Contribution Award from the North Carolina Museums Council at its annual meeting in Greensboro on March 21. She is retiring this summer after almost 20 years at the museum.


Scales will retire

Jan Scales, longtime office manager and client coordinator of the law school’s Elder Law Clinic, is retiring. She joined the University in 1989 and worked in the University’s legal office before coming to the law clinic in 1992. She was named Wake Forest’s Employee of […]


Brooks to retire

Bernice Brooks is retiring after 33 years in the University Advancement office. She was most recently gift coordinator in Alumni Records. She is married to William Brooks in Facilities Management.
