On July 7, Gov. Roy Cooper appointed Stan Meiburg, Director of the SustainabilityGraduate Programs, to serve on the North Carolina Environmental Management Commission. Meiburg fills the seat requiring special training in hydrology, water pollution control, and the effects of water pollution.

Wake Forest’s newest parking enforcement officer, Kathy Kullman, exudes an overall friendly and approachable demeanor. It’s not her appearance or her personality that sets her apart from other parking attendants. The reason is not difficult to pinpoint: she’s human-powered.

The Wake Forest Campus Sustainability Awards presentation was held on Earth Day, April 22, in the Green Room of Reynolda Hall. A combination of students, faculty, and staff who have demonstrated or initiated successful sustainable practices on campus were recognized as Champions of Change.
