Brooks to retire

Bernice Brooks is retiring after 33 years in the University Advancement office. She was most recently gift coordinator in Alumni Records. She is married to William Brooks in Facilities Management. 


Silver receives funding from NIH

Wayne Silver, professor of biology, has received funding from the National Institutes of Health for his proposal, “Undergraduate Neuroscience Training Cooperative between Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University.”


Lucas receives award

Nina Lucas, associate professor of dance, received the Excellence in Advising Award at the New Student Convocation in August. She joined the faculty in 1996.


Louden publishes book

Allan Louden, professor of communication, has published the book “Navigating Opportunity: Policy Debate in the 21st Century” (IDEBATE Press, New York, 2010).
