The annual meeting of the North Carolina Sociological Association (NCSA) will be hosted by the University’s Sociology Department on Feb. 12 at Wake Forest Biotech Place in Innovation Quarter. NCSA President-Elect Steve Gunkel, associate teaching professor of sociology at Wake Forest, has organized the statewide conference on behalf of the NCSA with this year’s theme “Doing Justice: Community, Social, or Criminal?”

The Secrest Artist Series at Wake Forest will host musicians David Finckel, Philip Setzer and Wu Han in a performance of the complete Beethoven Trios in a two-night special event on February 17 and 18 in Brendle Recital Hall.

In collaboration with various offices and student groups, the Office of Wellbeing would like to present the Week of Sleep, a series of daily workshops Feb. 8-12 at 4 p.m. in Benson University Center to raise awareness of the importance of sleep related to our physical and emotional wellbeing leading up to the Sleep Challenge! Faculty, staff, and students who come get a free sleep gear prize (while supplies last, first come first serve).
