COVID-19 vaccine update: NC moves to Group 3

On Feb. 10, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) announced that Group 3 would soon be eligible for COVID-19 vaccines.


Flexible Spending Account plan updates

In December, Congress passed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, which provides relief for employer sponsored Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wake Forest University has elected to move forward with the following provisions —


New feature: Enable live transcription for Zoom meetings

Live transcription (real-time subtitle/captioning) is now available within Zoom meetings for Wake Forest University accounts. This feature allows attendees to enable on-screen machine-generated subtitles/captions and an associated transcript during the meeting. It is not currently available when using breakout rooms or Zoom Webinar. To start using this feature, visit zoom.wfu.edu, sign in with your WFU credentials, and navigate to “Settings.”


Information Systems and the Technology Accessibility Program

This semester, the Accessible Content Working Group (ACWG), a part of the Technology Accessibility Program, will bring several new resources to our campus, including accessibility blog posts, tips and workshops. For the first topic, “Improving Accessibility and Inclusion in Virtual Spaces,” the ACWG offers a blog and resource that share the importance and impact of enhancing accessibility in today’s many virtual engagements.
