Healthy Weight for You (H-WFU) is a free, six-month weight management program offered by Wake Forest University’s Healthy Exercise and Lifestyle ProgramS (HELPS) exclusively for full-time, permanent employees. Designed for individuals who want to lose weight but are unsure where to begin, this medically directed and professionally supervised program goes beyond traditional lifestyle changes with a focus on sustainable weight loss.

Program Basics

  • 6-month program, completely free (sponsored by HR)
  • Weekly in-person group sessions
  • Location: Worrell Hall (HES side)
  • Schedule: Mondays, 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
  • Next cohort starts: September 28th

Eligibility

  • Have a BMI over 25
  • Able to commit to personal dietary and exercise changes
  • Able to attend weekly in-person sessions
  • Employed at Wake Forest University (full-time, permanent status)
