The Freedom Dreams Mass Meeting, a gathering aimed at uniting the community around its aspirations for freedom and democracy, will take place on March 27 at 6 p.m. in the Hanes Art Gallery, located in the Scales Fine Arts Center. The event will be convened and moderated by Claire Crawford, assistant professor of Political and International Affairs and the Program of African American Studies.

  • Rev. Andria Williamson (MDiv ’17), Associate Chaplain and Director of Chapel Programs, High Point University Chapel & Religious Life
  • Rev. Joshuah Brian Campbell (DMin ’27), Director of Worship, Music, and the Arts, Wake Forest University School of Divinity, and Director of the University Gospel Choir

The event will feature powerful messages through music about the ongoing journey toward freedom, equality, and justice, urging the community to rally behind its collective dreams. In the tradition of unity and hope, the meeting seeks to honor the practice of coming together in the name of love, freedom, and a more inclusive American democracy. It’s a call for the community to reflect on shared goals and envision a brighter future through solidarity and collective action.
