Senior Vice President and General Counsel Reid Morgan announces retirement plans

During a Wake Forest career that has spanned more than four decades, Senior Vice President and General Counsel J. Reid Morgan has worked with four presidents — James Ralph Scales, Thomas K. Hearn Jr., Nathan O. Hatch and the University’s current president, Susan R. Wente.

Morgan announced today his plans to retire on June 30, 2023. He will continue to serve as Secretary of the Board of Trustees through the 2023-2024 academic year.

IRS announces 403(b) retirement plan limits for 2015

The Internal Revenue Service has announced its 403(b) retirement plan limits for 2015. Individual limits may apply based on age, salary and past contributions. In the spirit of sustainability, this information is exclusively available online.

Saving for retirement: What are your numbers?

Everyone knows that saving for retirement is important but not everyone knows how to start saving and how much to save. While people’s confidence in their retirement savings plan has increased over the past few years, many do not know how much they need to save for their golden years.

About 36% of people have less than $1,000 in savings and investments that could be used for retirement, not counting their primary residence or defined benefits plans, and 60% of people have less than $25,000 according to Employee Benefit Research Institute.

2014 retirement plan limits

The Internal Revenue Service has announced its 403(b) retirement plan limits for 2014. The University is providing this information online, in place of distributing packets, to aid sustainability efforts.  You may click to review the limits and obtain information on viewing and changing your personal contribution.
