We are saddened to announce that Marcellus Waddill, professor emeritus of mathematics, died on August 24 in Winston-Salem.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. August 27 at College Park Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Family will greet guests following the service in Smith Hall at the church. Additional information is available in a Winston-Salem Journal obituary published today.
Dr. Waddill joined Wake Forest’s faculty in 1962 and retired in 1997. He was the recipient of many honors at Wake Forest during his 35-year career at the University.
We grieve Dr. Waddill’s death and extend our condolences to his family and friends, as well as those at Wake Forest who had the opportunity to know him.
