Participate in the #NoMouse Challenge now through Feb. 19

The #NoMouse Challenge is a global effort to spread web accessibility awareness and promote better web design. ItĀ encourages everyone to explore and test the keyboard accessibility of websites they frequent by navigating without using a mouse or trackpad. Wake Forest is joining the Challenge by encouraging all faculty, staff and students to take 10 minutes to participate today through Feb. 19.


Information Systems announces TechX 2021 and calls for proposals

For 2021, TechX will focus on how our campus community has creatively incorporated technology into the classroom, workplace and other collaborative spaces to deliver an enriched learning experience, foster relationships and engage constituents. IS will host a virtual three day event, March 23-25, featuring an interactive web experience for attendees to watch videos, read articles and participate in workshops highlighting this important work.


Information Security: Protect yourself during election season

Dear Wake Forest community,
With early voting currently taking place in Forsyth County and the national election right around the corner, there may beĀ a spike in attempts to disrupt our community and fan the flames of discord. According to national law enforcement officials, these attempts are most likely to occur through electronic means. Email messages sent to individuals and groups are the most difficult to guard against.


Rena Willis, staff member, has died

We are saddened to announce that Rena Willis, who worked as a desk clerk in the indoor tennis center, died Sept 9. Willis previously worked for several years in the Information Systems Department. An obituary appeared in the Winston-Salem Journal Sept. 16. We extend our condolences to her family and friends, as well as those at Wake Forest who had the opportunity to know her.


Campus telephone service to be interrupted June 20 during transition

This is a guest post from Information Systems:The campus telephone service will be interrupted during our planned change of carriers from Windstream to AT&T. This change is the last major task of the ongoing conversion from, and retirement of, the Nortel phone system to voice over IP, providing improved telephone services across campus, higher call sound quality, and an improved user experience.
