Greene Hall sidewalk closure and Wingate Road maintenance

Facilities and Campus Services announced two service alerts for the the campus community: The sidewalk in front of Greene Hall along Wingate Road will be closed due to construction beginning on Monday, Dec. 14, at 8 a.m. and will remain closed through Thursday, Dec. 31, at 5 p.m. Additionally, traffic on Wingate Road at Calloway Hall will be redirected due to maintenance work from Tuesday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 17.


Construction on Hearn Plaza and Benson University Center stairs

Construction will begin on the Hearn Plaza east side stairs on Friday, Nov. 27. Both levels of the east stairs between Reynolda Hall and Kitchin Residence Hall will be closed during the construction period, which is expected to continue through the first week of Feb. 2021. A winter break project to rebuild the exterior south Benson University Center steps to the Tribble courtyard is scheduled to begin on Monday, Nov. 30 and continue through early Feb. 2021. The accessibility ramp from the ZSR Library to south Benson and the Tribble courtyard will be closed during this time. For an accessible pathway between the ZSR Library and the Tribble courtyard, please use the ramp located at the north entrance of Benson.


Reynolda Road crossing to enhance pedestrian safety

Construction is underway on a new Reynolda Road crossing, with expectations to wrap up at the end of August. A crosswalk and 10-foot wide landscaped median will be installed just north of Graylyn Court, which serves as an entry to both the Graylyn Estate and Reynolda House Museum of American Art.
