At the invitation of the Faculty Senate, Executive Vice President Hof Milam will give his annual financial update to the University on May 2 at 4 p.m. in Pugh Auditorium.


Weather update: Police issue “All Clear;” campus encouraged to monitor weather

The University Police Department issued an All Clear announcement at 5:45 p.m. today, April 15, after issuing an earlier severe weather announcement.  It was issued through the University’s Wake Alert emergency notification system.


Tornado Watch issued for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County today, April 15

This announcement was emailed to students, faculty and staff on Sunday, April 15, by Wake Forest Communications and External Relations:

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for our area today, April 15. This includes Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.  The watch is in effect until 11 p.m. A tornado watch means tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area.

Please monitor weather reports for the latest information.


Unstable weather forecast for Sunday, April 15; severe weather possible

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged today, April 15, to stay informed on weather conditions.  Unstable weather is forecast for the Winston-Salem area.  Thunderstorms are possible today.  Some storms could be severe, according to weather forecasts.

April 12 WSPD update: Suspect arrested for the murder of Najee Ali Baker

The Winston-Salem Police Department just released the following information about the arrest of Jakier Shanique Austin, who has been charged in the Jan. 20 shooting death of Najee Ali Baker following a party at the Barn on Wake Forest’s campus.


Provost Kersh announcement: Dean O’Day to step down

Provost Rogan Kersh emailed this announcement to Wake Forest faculty and staff on April 11:

Gail O’Day has announced that she will step down as Dean of the School of Divinity on June 30, 2018. Dean O’Day has been on research leave this academic year.
