WFDD celebrates 75th anniversary

88.5 WFDD, the NPR affiliate station licensed to Wake Forest University, is marking its 75th anniversary throughout 2021. The public radio station, which serves 32 counties in the Piedmont and High Country, as well as southern Virginia, traces its roots to an inaugural 1946 broadcast by two students from their rooming house on the old Wake Forest College campus in Wake Forest, NC.


Reminder: New Zoom Cloud recording retention limits effective June 15

As a reminder, beginning on Tuesday, June 15, we will be enabling a Zoom Cloud recording retention limit to ensure we stay within our campus storage capacity in the future. Any Zoom Cloud recordings that are 180 days or older will be moved to your Zoom trash. You are encouraged to evaluate your Zoom recordings and preemptively delete or move videos as appropriate.


A poem for the WFU Class of 2021: “Closing Remarks” (after a pandemonium)

Wanda Balzano, founding chair and associate professor of Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies, wrote an occasional poem dedicated to the Wake Forest University Class of 2021. The University honored graduates with a series of small diploma ceremonies in the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum and an historic commencement celebration at Truist Field on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
