Crime update: Man arrested, charged in robbery of students
The Winston-Salem Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the Sept. 9 armed robbery of Wake Forest male students at a Long Drive house, near Wake Forest. The man was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was identified as Logan Scott Meredith Koch of Tobaccoville.

Updated information regarding off-campus robbery
The Winston-Salem Police Department is continuing to investigate the armed robbery of four male Wake Forest students at their off-campus residence on Long Drive, across University Parkway from campus. The robbery occurred around 10 a.m. today at a house leased by the students. The University Police Department is assisting with the investigation and increasing patrols of the campus.

Crime alert: Off-campus robbery under investigation
At 10:17 a.m. this morning, September 9, 2016, two black males wearing all black clothing with bandanas covering their faces forced their way into a house on Long Drive occupied by four Wake Forest students. The suspects pointed handguns at the students and one shot was fired inside the house. No one was injured in the shooting.

WFU receives $4.2 million to further study of human flourishing
Today Wake Forest University announced nearly $4.2 million in new research funding to further the study human flourishing through the Eudaimonia Institute. Eudaimonia (yoo-dye-mo-NEE-uh) is Aristotle’s term for “flourishing.”

Locklair’s ‘Gloria’ CD released, available on campus, too
Wake Forest Professor of Music Dan Locklair’s “Gloria (Sacred Choral Works)” CD is now available worldwide. At Wake Forest, the newly-released CD is sold at the University’s Bookstore. It is also easily available online through various sources for recordings.
