Student researcher wins Goldwater Scholarship; explores spread of infectious diseases
Hannah Scanlon, a junior from Raleigh who explores the spread of infectious diseases with a mathematics professor, has been named a 2020 Barry S. Goldwater Scholar. She is one of 396 college students from across the U.S. and is one of 12 in North Carolina to receive the award for the 2020-21 academic year.

Staff Advisory Council hears presentation on Wake Forest Crisis Response Fund
Bob Baker, senior associate vice president, University Advancement, made a presentation to the Staff Advisory Council, recently, on the Wake Forest Crisis Response Fund. In March, the fund was created with an initial $500,000 goal to to assist Wake Forest students and others (including staff and faculty) affected by COVID-19.
