Wake Forest advances Affiliate Housing Initiative with Creekside at The Grounds

Wake Forest University is continuing to implement its Affiliate Housing Initiative, first announced in January, with the selection of Creekside at The Grounds as the University’s affiliate housing property.
This next phase reflects a continued commitment to providing students with an intentional, student-centered off-campus housing experience that aligns with Wake Forest’s residential model and supports long-term planning.
Through the Affiliate Housing Initiative, eligible students will be able to apply their residence at Creekside toward the University’s six-semester housing requirement. The model is designed to create a clearer pathway for students as they transition into off-campus living, while maintaining a connection to the broader Wake Forest community.
Creekside at The Grounds is a new residential community currently in development near campus, with a planned opening in Fall 2027. The community is designed with students in mind and will offer a mix of furnished apartment-style living, shared amenities and access to outdoor and community spaces.
As part of this announcement, Creekside has opened an interest waitlist for students who may be considering this option. This is especially relevant for rising sophomores and juniors who are beginning to think ahead about their housing plans.
Additional details about the Affiliate Housing Initiative, including eligibility, timelines and frequently asked questions, will be shared in the coming weeks. Representatives from Creekside at The Grounds will also be on campus, hosting tabling events, providing students with opportunities to learn more about the community and the leasing process and ask questions directly.
