Secrest Series begins 2026-27 season with Isidore Quartet and Sterling Elliott

The Secrest Artists Series at Wake Forest University will open its 2026-27 concert season with a collaboration featuring the Isidore String Quartet and cellist Sterling Elliott. The concert will take place on Thursday, September 24 at 7:30 pm in Brendle Recital Hall on the university’s Reynolda Campus.
Celebrated for their commitment to “revisit, rediscover, and reinvigorate” the classical canon, the Isidore String Quartet brings Banff-winning precision alongside the “joyous musicianship” of acclaimed cellist Sterling Elliott. Praised by Violinist.com for “a focus and command beyond their years”, the ensemble delivers sweeping narratives and blazing virtuosity that offer an innovative take on established masterpieces.
Their concert at Wake Forest University will feature:
- Haydn: String Quartet in F minor Op. 20, No. 5
- Bridge: 3 Idylls
- Schubert: Cello Quintet
