Former staff member Susan McFadyen has passed away

The University recently learned that former staff member Susan McFadyen passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025. Susan served Wake Forest for more than 23 years as a student account specialist in Student Financial Services.

Fondly known by her colleagues as “Susie-Q,” Susan was the welcoming voice and helping hand for countless students and families as they navigated financial matters.

The Wake Forest community extends our condolences to Susan’s family and friends.

Susan’s family will receive friends on Friday, May 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Additional details and an obituary can be found here.
