Thursdays at Byrum HallThe Provost and the Undergraduate Admissions Office invite faculty and staff to Thursdays at Byrum Hall (the Welcome and Admissions Center) on Sept. 15. A wine and cheese reception will run from 4-4:30 p.m., followed by a program from 4:30-5:15 p.m. that will feature Mary Foskett, Timo Thonhauser and Michelle Roehm.

Foskett, associate professor of religion and director, WFU Humanities Institute, will talk about how the Humanities Institute can support the work of our faculty and students and share highlights from exciting collaborations on campus that the institute is sponsoring this year.

Thonhauser, assistant professor of physics, will describe the challenges involved in studying materials using computers and quantum-mechanical principles.

Roehm, School of Business Board of Visitors, professor of marketing, will discuss her research on brand and corporate scandals and how lessons learned from examples such as Toyota, Martha Stewart and Enron can inform theory on crisis management.
