WFU appoints new members to board of visitors

Wake Forest University recently appointed 10 new members for a four-year term on the Board of Visitors of Wake Forest College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

The new members are:

Debra Bryant of Keswick, Va., chief executive officer, Humagen Fertility Diagnostics Inc.

John Crowe of Davis, Calif., professor of molecular cellular biology and director, Center for Biostabilization at the University of California-Davis.

Sarah DuPont of Charlottesville, Va., board member for the Amazon Conservation Association, the Upton Foundation and the University of Virginia Arts Council Emeritus Advisory Board.

Gail Gregory of Martinsville, Va., vice president, Ketchum Inc.

Rhoda Juckett of Charlotte, former member of Wake Forest’sYoung Alumni Development Committee; current member of the Children’s Theater of Charlotte’s Encore group.

Amy Lowden of Greenwich, Conn., community volunteer.

Jack Lowden of Greenwich, Conn., president, NewCastle Partners LLC.

Toby (Anthony) Moffett of Washington, D.C., director, Livingston Moffett International and former U.S. representative from Connecticut.

Joe Neal of Seattle, Wash., staff anesthesiologist, Virginia Mason Medical Center and clinical professor of anesthesiology at the University of Washington.

Joy Vermillion of Winston-Salem, program officer, Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation.

Bryant, Crowe, Gregory, Juckett, Lowden, Lowden, Neal and Vermillion are alumni of Wake Forest University.

First organized in 1969, the board of visitors is a group of approximately 50 Wake Forest alumni, parents and friends and includes foundation, corporate and national education leaders. Board members serve in an advisory capacity to the deans of both the college and graduate school.
