A message from Wake Forest Communications and External Relations

In August, Wake Forest Chief of Police Regina Lawson shared a message highlighting safety and security resources for the WFU community, which included the new Wake Safe App. Wake Safe is available for Apple and Android, and it is fully integrated with the University’s Wake Alert system.

The Wake Safe App is free. No email is needed to download Wake Safe. This means that you, as well as family and friends who install the app, can receive Wake Forest safety alerts and advisories if notifications are turned on. Anyone with the app will also be able to use the app’s safety features – such as direct access to emergency services, mobile blue light location sharing, friend walk, and social escape. Other features include campus maps, safety resources and easy access to the We Are Wake mental health site.

The University is committed to a comprehensive approach to providing a safe community where students, faculty, staff and visitors may experience a sense of security. If you have not already downloaded the Wake Safe app, please consider adding the app as a convenient way to both receive alerts and take advantage of safety resources.
