Tests of Wake Forest Indoor Emergency Alert Systems will be conducted May 23-25.

All testing will be conducted between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The tests are being conducted to ensure that the University’s indoor emergency notification systems are operating properly.

Facilities and Campus Services will test emergency alarm systems for Shelter in Place, Tornado Alert, General Weather Alert, Evacuate Building, Active Shooter, Armed Intruder and All Clear.

No action is required in response to alert messages during these tests. If an actual emergency were to occur on the testing dates, the University would use numerous alert methods to inform the campus.

Following are the scheduled testing days for each building:

  • May 23: Angelou, Babcock, Collins, Dogwood, Luter, Magnolia, Martin, Polo, South and Student Apts A&B, Bostwick & Johnson
  • May 24: Alumni Hall, Davis, Efird, Farrell Hall, HES, Huffman, Kitchin, NC Apts # 1-5, NC Apts # 6-10, Poteat, ROTC, Taylor and Worrell

Bridger Field House, Haddock House, Dailey Golf Learning Center, the Baseball Clubhouse, the ACC Control Room, Harold Pollard Tennis Clubhouse and the off-site storage warehouse will also be tested.

In addition to the testing procedures outlined above, emergency preparedness for members of the Wake Forest community requires each of us to review the University’s Emergency response, evacuation procedures and notification of immediate threat as posted on InsideWFU.
