World-renowned pianist Emanuel Ax will perform works by Schubert and Liszt on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Wait Chapel.

A pre-concert talk led by Wake Forest music professor Larry Weng begins at 6:40 p.m. in the Wait Chapel balcony room. Seating is limited.

Wake Forest University and Medical School faculty, staff and retirees receive free admission for themselves and one guest to each Secrest Artists Series performance. Admission is free for WFU students with ID.

Emanuel Ax performs in recital and with major symphony orchestras worldwide. A “Who’s Who” in the world of classical music, he is one of the top musicians in the world. His numerous solo albums and collaborations, with the likes of violinists Itzhak Perlman, Jaime Laredo, Isaac Stern and cellist Yo-Yo Ma, have garnered him multiple GRAMMY® awards.
