Locklair’s music to be played at Davidson

Dan Locklair’s A Christmas Carol, for SATB choir, a cappella will be presented on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. by the Davidson College Chorale as part of the Christmas Vespers service in the Davidson College Presbyterian Church on the campus of Davidson College in Davidson, N.C.

A Christmas Carol, with text by G. K. Chesterton, was written in 1981 and appears on the Bel Canto Company’s “Holy Canticles, Sacred and Secular Choral Music” CD.

The program will also feature prelude music from the Davidson College Symphony Orchestra and numerous selections from the Davidson College Chorale throughout the service. Visit the Chorale at http://www3.davidson.edu/cms/x24526.xml.
