Indoor Emergency Alert Systems Testing May 28, 29 & 31

For those who will be on campus next week, please note that tests of Wake Forest Indoor Emergency Alert Systems will be conducted May 28, 29 and 31. All testing will be conducted between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m according to the following schedule. The tests are being conducted to ensure that the University’s indoor emergency notification systems are operating properly.

If an actual emergency were to occur on the testing dates, the University would use numerous alert methods to inform the campus.

During the testing, the emergency alarm system will test alerts for: Shelter in Place, Tornado Alert, General Weather Alert, Evacuate Building, Active Shooter, Armed Intruder and All Clear.

Testing will be carried out by Facilities and Campus Services. No action is required in response to alert messages during these tests.

Emergency preparedness for members of the Wake Forest community requires each of us to review the University’s Emergency response, evacuation procedures and notification of immediate threat as posted on Inside WFU.

Please visit Wake Alert to review emergency procedures.
