University Police Department’s Communications Center to move

During Wake Forest’s Spring Break, the University Police Department will move its communications center (which receives campus emergency calls) from Davis Residence Hall to Alumni Hall. All other police department offices moved to Alumni Hall in January.


Training offered this week on responding to work place violence

The University will offer a class titled “Active Shooter Response (Run, Hide, Fight)” on Dec. 8 to students, faculty and staff. The class is intended to instruct people on how to respond to an active shooter incident or other types of work place violence. The class stresses awareness, preparation and rehearsal, which are considered by experts to be key to safety in such situations.


Crime Alert: Student and companion report abduction, robbery

The Wake Forest University Police Department and the Winston-Salem Police Department are investigating the brief abduction and the robbery of a male Wake Forest law student and a female friend that occurred at 8:20 p.m. tonight, Oct. 22, at a Polo Road residence owned by the University.


Crime alert: two students punched near campus

This message was emailed to students, faculty and staff on Oct. 15 by Communications and External Relations:

Two male students, in separate incidents, reported early Saturday morning (Oct. 15) being punched in the face or head by unidentified men near the Polo Road entrance to campus.
