Update: campus wireless system restored today

As of 3:15 p.m.,today, May 23, the wireless computing network is available in all academic and administrative buildings. In addition, the wireless network has been restored in Piccolo, Palmer and Taylor Residence Halls. All other residence halls wireless connectivity should be restored by 6:00 p.m.


Important message regarding wireless service Monday on campus

s of 9:15 a.m. Monday, May 23, the wireless network is not available. Information Systems staff are working with Cisco engineers on a resolution. Currently there is no estimated time of resolution. The wired network is not affected by this problem. You may need to turn off the wireless connection on your computer before connecting to the wired network.


Work begins on the campus network upgrade

Beginning Wednesday, May 18, 2016, and continuing through October, 2016, Information Systems staff and contractors will begin work to upgrade the existing computing network hardware in campus buildings. Information Systems will coordinate the schedule through key contacts in each building. The work is expected to continue through the end of October.


2016-17 Wake Forest Fellows selected

Twelve seniors will remain in the Wake Forest campus community following graduation in May as Wake Forest Fellows. They will work in offices across campus, including the President’s Office, the Pro Humanitate Institute, the Z. Smith Reynolds Library and the Office of Personal & Career Development.


10-digit dialing begins April 23

Beginning Saturday, April 23, 2016, 10-digit dialing (area code + the seven-digit telephone number) will be necessary for local and expanded local calls to be completed. This requirement is the result of a new area code being introduced for the Piedmont region of North Carolina.
