Faculty forum: Thursday, April 1, 5:00-6:00 p.m.

The message below was sent to faculty on March 23 on behalf of the University Senate and Faculty Advisory Committee.

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

We will hold a jointly sponsored University Senate and Faculty Advisory Committee forum on April 1, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Please submit any questions you may have for Provost Kersh and Executive Vice President Milam on this Google form no later than Saturday, March 28 at Noon. President of the University Senate Simone Caron also welcomes colleagues to send forum questions to her directly at caron@wfu.edu.

Zoom instructions will be sent next week. The forum will be recorded and posted to the Faculty & Staff page of ourwayforward.wfu.edu.

Faculty Advisory Committee to hold Presidential Search listening sessions

The following is a guest post from the Faculty Advisory Committee:

Dear Colleagues,

The Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC) has been convened to collect and provide faculty feedback to the Presidential Search Committee. As part of our effort to do so, we invite faculty to join us for a set of listening sessions. These hour-long forums, moderated by the faculty comprising the FAC, offer the opportunity to share the concerns, hopes, and priorities that faculty think should shape the search for and selection of the next University President.

Please plan to attend one of the several sessions being offered Monday, Nov. 9 – Friday, Nov. 13; you can register here.

The FAC has also created an anonymous survey to collect this kind of feedback. In addition to or instead of the listening sessions, please consider responding to the Presidential Search: Faculty Feedback Form.

The FAC is made up of faculty from across the University, and you can find a list of members here. Please feel free to direct any questions or concerns to any one of us, including the FAC Chair, Erica Still (stillel@wfu.edu).

Staff and faculty forums: July 24 and 27

Staff forum:

The University will host a staff forum Friday, July 24 at 8:30 a.m. The Information Systems team has worked to ensure a safe and secure experience via Zoom Webinar. For staff, please join by visiting the link in your July 16 email from Executive Vice President Hof Milam and Provost Rogan Kersh. Staff can submit questions through our designated Human Resources form. We will continue to answer them directly through email updates, centralized FAQs and the Friday forum.

Faculty forum:

Vice President for Campus Life Penny Rue and Clinical Director of Student Health Service Joanne Clinch will appear as panelists for the faculty forum Monday, July 27, 5 – 6 p.m. An email with details for accessing the meeting will be sent to faculty later this week.

Faculty may submit questions for Penny and Joanne via this form before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22.

A subsequent forum on University finances is planned for the first week of August.
