Others may find the content interesting and relevant, but CER’s efforts in recent years have succeeded in establishing Inside WFU as a valuable information resource for those employed at Wake Forest.

The Office of the President is sponsoring a new Visiting Executive (VX) Program in partnership with the College, School of Business, and Office of Personal and Career Development. The purpose of the program is to connect industry leaders with students across the university. The first VX will be alumnus David Friedersdorf (’87), an entrepreneur in health care transformation. Friedersdorf will be collaborating with history professor Robert Hellyer and his Modern Japanese History class.

Wake Forest will welcome a new freshman class on Friday, Aug. 26, when new student move-in begins at 8 a.m. For faculty and staff scheduled to be on campus that busy morning, the University has recommendations for where to enter campus and park.

The Information Technology Executive Committee has approved an extended pilot of VeriCite for the 2016-2017 academic year. VeriCite is a cloud-based service that helps to verify the originality of student work. It also can help to facilitate proper citation techniques and paraphrasing skills when used as a tool to enhance instruction through student reflection.

Wake Forest’s Learning Management System Team will be hosting a variety of Sakai related workshops to kick of the 2016-2017 academic year. This includes a general introduction to Sakai for faculty who are new to the system or would like a refresher.

Information Systems is pleased to announce the launch of a new guest WiFi service. The new service called WFUguest is comparable to what is commonly available at hotels, airports, coffee shops, colleges and universities.
