A team of assessors from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) will arrive on April 21 to examine all aspects of the Wake Forest University Police Department’s policy and procedures, management, operations, and support services, Chief Regina Lawson announced.

David Johnson, assistant professor of counseling, was named an emerging leader of the Association for Humanistic Counseling for the 2018-19 academic year. His year-long term will begin in July 2018.

The Wake Forest University School of Business will hold the 3rd annual Fit for Business 5K on April 14. The run/walk, planned by School of Business students, will be held on campus; the course begins and ends at Farrell Hall. This year’s race proceeds will benefit H.O.P.E. of Winston-Salem’s mission to bring nutritious weekend meals to Forsyth County’s children who are at risk for hunger.

Five years ago, the newly-opened Wake Forest’s Women’s Center joined a new women’s leadership event, which attracted Wake Forest women and others to participate but also helped spread the word on campus that the new center was ready to play a big part in the University’s strategic plan for diversity and inclusion.
