IdeasCityWS panel discussion: “From the Ground Up” and workforce development

In October 2019, Wake Forest University Facilities staff participated in “From the Ground Up,” an original dance performance held on Hearn Plaza. Directed by Allison Orr (’93) of Forklift Danceworks in Austin, the production elevated the dedicated people whose skillful work often goes unseen. To commemorate the anniversary of this groundbreaking event, IdeasCityWS will host a “Beta Bonfire” panel discussion on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m., looking back at the production through the lens of workforce development.


Faculty books: November 2020

Wake Forest University faculty members Christine Coughlin, Luis González and Rémi Lanzoni published books in November 2020. Former adjust professor and Wake Forest School of Law alum Matthew Houston co-authored a book with Christine Coughlin.


Reminder: Flu shot documentation due Dec. 15

As a reminder, this year’s new Mandatory Influenza Vaccine Policy requires all faculty and staff to submit documentation of receiving a flu shot by Tuesday, Dec. 15. Faculty and staff may request a medical, religious or off-site exemption from the policy by completing the Influenza Vaccine Exemption Request Form. More information is available at hr.wfu.edu/flu-shots.
