Would you like to promote your newsworthy events or programs? Talk about your research with journalists using language that captivates their audiences? Or maybe you just want to be able to understand what the media’s looking for so you can create opportunities to educate the public about your area of expertise.

This two-hour course will help you understand why you should work with the media, what makes news and how the Communications and External Relations team can help you meet your goals. Media Training 601 will help you develop key messages and practice response techniques designed to keep you moving an interview forward. You’ll even learn what to wear on TV!

The course is taught by Communications and External relations staff members, all of whom have experience working with the media.

There’s still room to register for two upcoming classes on March 7 from 10:30 a.m.-noon and April 17 from 3-4:30 p.m.
