Wake Forest will test its indoor and outdoor emergency alert systems this week on May 27, 28 and 29 at various campus locations. The tests are required to ensure that the University’s emergency notifications are operating properly.

On May 29 at 9 a.m., Wake Forest will test the desktop emergency alert notification system, digital signage and cable TV systems. Email and text messaging to the schools of medicine in Winston-Salem and Charlotte will also be tested during this time.

No action is required. University Police and University Marketing and Communications will conduct the testing.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. By regularly testing our emergency alert system, the University can better prepare to respond to emergencies and keep our campus community safe. Consider downloading the Wake Safe App to receive alerts and access safety resources on your mobile phone. In addition, the Wake Alert website is the primary information source during an emergency at Wake Forest
