As President Susan R. Wente concludes her final semester at Wake Forest, the campus community gathered during a week of events to celebrate her leadership. Following an impactful five-year tenure with much to celebrate, many faculty, staff and students joined President Wente for the final Wednesdays with Wente and President’s Ball. The week brought warm weather and even warmer memories, reflecting a strong sense of community and connection, markers of President Wente’s time at Wake Forest.

Wednesday with Wente

Traditionally, “Wednesdays with Wente” offers informal, small-group conversations between faculty, staff and President Wente. The final installment expanded that format, inviting all faculty and staff to gather on Hearn Plaza. Attendees enjoyed lunch and a beautiful day while connecting with President Wente and colleagues from across the University.

President’s Ball

A biennial Wake Forest tradition, the President’s Ball brought together students, faculty and staff for a highlight of the Wake Forest experience. Held at Joel Coliseum, the event celebrated President Wente with music, energy and community spirit. Attendees danced the night away alongside classmates, colleagues and friends.
