Effective July 1, 2025, updated procedures and a new website are available to support one of our most vital academic responsibilities: hiring outstanding faculty.

Over the past year, the Office of the Provost collaborated with Human Resources, Legal, and Dean’s Office representatives to develop clearer guidance and resources for faculty search committees. The result is facultysearch.wfu.edu, a new website designed to support search committee chairs, committee members, and others involved in the hiring process.

The site offers:

  • A step-by-step guide to the search process
  • Best practices for inclusive and effective searches
  • Instructions for using Interfolio Faculty Search to manage applications and improve the experience for candidates and committees alike

Additional training opportunities will be offered throughout the year. Search committee chairs, members, and all involved faculty will receive more information about these sessions from their respective Dean’s Office and via Inside WFU.

These new resources aim to ensure a more consistent, equitable, and streamlined approach to faculty hiring across the University.
