Professor Oana Jurchescu has been elected a 2025 Fellow of the Materials Research Society (MRS), a prestigious honor recognizing the most accomplished members of the global materials research community. This distinction, awarded to only approximately 0.2% of MRS members annually, highlights Jurchescu’s significant and sustained contributions to the field of organic electronic materials.

Jurchescu is the first Wake Forest faculty member to receive this fellowship. This fall, she was also elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society, further underscoring her impact in the field.

The MRS Fellows program honors excellence and aims to inspire the broader materials research community. Jurchescu will be formally recognized at the 2025 MRS Spring Meeting in Seattle, WA.

The Materials Research Society is a global organization of researchers from academia, industry, and government, dedicated to advancing the interdisciplinary field of materials science. Its membership includes chemists, physicists, biologists, mathematicians, and engineers.
