Two WFU Press titles included in year-end roundups

Poet and book review author David Starkey included the Wake Forest University Press (WFUP) title “Some of the Things I’ve Seen” by Sara Berkeley in his “31 Outstanding Poetry Books from 2023” for the California Review of Books, calling the poems “precise, imagistic and sensitive.”

Brian Ô Broin also included WFUP in his year-end roundup for the Irish language journal Comhar, selecting the recent anthology Bone and Marrow / Cnámh agus Smior: An Anthology of Irish Poetry from Medieval to Modern. “Keep at hand,” Ó Broin writes, “as the standard Irish language poetry anthology.”

Established in 1975 by the late English professor Dillon Johnston (1938-2022) with the support of Provost Edwin Wilson and the University administration, Wake Forest University Press is the premier publisher of Irish poetry in North America.
