John Wise, vice president of Hospitality and Auxiliary Services, will assume interim responsibility for Facilities and Campus Services from Vice President John Shenette following Shenette’s departure from the University on Sept. 8.  

Wise expressed his appreciation for the strength of the Facilities and Campus Services teams, as well as his commitment to a smooth transition. “I am honored to take on this interim role and work alongside the talented individuals within Facilities and Campus Services. Together, we will continue to uphold Wake Forest’s high standards of service and operational excellence,” he said.  

Wise’s portfolio of responsibilities in Hospitality and Auxiliary Services currently includes Conference and Event Services, Dining Services, Graylyn International Conference Center, Mail Services, Transportation and Parking Services, and University Stores. Under Wise’s leadership, Graylyn International Conference Center was named a 2023 Best Conference Center by Smart Meetings and recognized as a top-five 2023 Best Boutique Hotel by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice awards.
