Wake Forest University will celebrate the inauguration of Susan R. Wente as the University’s 14th president on March 25 at 3 p.m. The inauguration of a University president is a rare event at Wake Forest with the most recent taking place 17 years ago in 2005.

To celebrate together, the University is hosting a series of events for faculty, staff and students.

From Forsyth Backpack Project meal packing to faculty panel discussions to a special Face to Face event to the Inaugural Ball, the entire Wake Forest community is welcome.

On Inauguration Day, faculty and staff are invited to gather for breakfast on Manchester Plaza in the morning, attend the Inauguration Ceremony in person at Wait Chapel in the afternoon and celebrate together with a guest at the Presidential Inauguration Ball in the evening.

Registration for all events is open through March 11. If you have already registered and wish to add or change the events you would like to attend, there is a modify registration link within your confirmation email with confirmation code that can be used to make updates. Advance registration is required.
