Close-up photo of blooming white magnolia flowersThe Interpreting and Translation Studies Program is hosting one of the most prestigious conferences in translation, interpreting, and intercultural studies, the 9th Asian-Pacific Forum on Translation and Intercultural Studies, on March 25 and 26.

The theme of the talk is “Translation, Interpreting and Language Industry in a New Era of Globalization: Opportunities and Challenges.” The plenary talk, given by Prof. Anthony Pym from the University of Melbourne (Australia), features Risk Taking In Interpreting. We invite anyone interested in this virtual event to register for free by March 20.

The Forum is also generously supported by the Vice Provost’s Office for Global Affairs, the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, and the Center for Research on Abroad and International Student Engagement.
