The city of Winston-Salem will take the water tank located on campus out of service to perform a five-year maintenance inspection, starting Sept. 30. Work is scheduled to finish on Oct. 8.

The city is warning that this may cause water-pressure fluctuations or temporary discoloration of tap water for area residents. However, the tank does not directly feed the Wake Forest campus, so the on-campus impact is expected to be minimal.
