A message from the Office of Communications and External Relations

Severe thunderstorms are expected tomorrow, March 18, for Winston-Salem and the surrounding areas. Numerous strong to severe thunderstorms are expected on Thursday between noon and 4 p.m. The forecast includes the potential for damaging winds, lightning, tornadoes and hail.

Localized power outages are possible. Check electronic devices to ensure they are fully charged. Be prepared to take action and seek shelter quickly if severe weather conditions develop. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to stay alert to weather forecasts.

The Reynolda Campus and Wake Downtown will continue operating under normal conditions; however, some services may adjust hours of operations based on weather conditions.

As a reminder, the Wake Alert website is the primary information source during an emergency at Wake Forest. Follow alerts on Twitter and Facebook. Faculty and staff should confirm their mobile number is updated in Workday to receive text alerts. Students should log into the Wake Information Network (WIN) at win.wfu.edu to update contact information.
