Barksdale joins WFU as director of college fund

David P. Barksdale has joined Wake Forest University as director of The College Fund and annual support.

Since graduating from Wake Forest in 1986, Barksdale has spent his career in banking. Most recently, he held the position of senior vice president and business banking manager at a branch of the First Citizens Bank and Trust Company in Winston-Salem. Barksdale joined First Citizens in 1991.

Barksdale has continued to maintain strong ties to the university, serving on the Young Alumni Development Board. Recently, Barksdale sat on the Alumni Council and worked with the Alumni Career Assistance Program.
