Wake Forest University has named Jay Dominick the associate dean of the university’s International Center for Computer Enhanced Learning (ICCEL).

In his new position, Dominick will continue his responsibilities as assistant vice president for information systems and chief information officer at Wake Forest.

Through a combination of programs and consulting services, ICCEL assists schools (K-12), colleges and universities to take advantage of information technology to increase learning. Wake Forest formed ICCEL more than a year ago after implementing its own extensive information technology initiative.

Dominick joined Wake Forest in 1991. He was named assistant vice president and chief information officer in 1996. Dominick received a bachelor of arts degree in mathematical sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master of arts in national security studies at Georgetown University, and a master of business administration degree at Wake Forest. Before coming to Wake Forest, he served as an officer in the United States Air Force and worked at the Research Triangle Institute.
