Wake Forest University’s Office of Public Affairs (OPA) has won six medals in the Circle of Excellence national awards program of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in Washington, D.C.

The University Editor’s Office won five awards: a gold medal for individual in-house publications for the “Arts at Wake Forest” brochure; and silver medals for individual in-house publications, individual institutional relations and alumni relations publications, design in print for the 1996-97 Wake Forest Calendar, and magazine special publishing improvement for The Jurist, the semi-annual magazine of the School of Law.

The Wake Forest News Bureau won a silver medal in the publications/special purpose category for its Web site.

Earlier this year, the Office of Public Affairs won 12 awards for publications and design excellence and media relations and web site applications in CASE’s District III competition — the most received by any college or university in the contest comprising nine Southeastern states.
