A man has been arrested and charged with indecent exposure in connection with a March 14 incident on the paved walking trail that leads from campus to Reynolda Village.

An investigation by the University Police Department led to the arrest on March 16 of 36-year-old Edward Brett Mattingly of Winston-Salem.  Mattingly was taken into custody at his residence with the assistance of the Winston-Salem Police Department.

Mattingly allegedly exposed himself to a woman who was running on the trail toward campus at about 7 p.m. on March 14.  The woman continued running and called University Police minutes later.
