Forbes ranks Wake Forest among America’s Best Employers for Women

Wake Forest has again been recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers for Women, earning the No. 38 spot on the 2026 list, up seven places from No. 45 last year. Wake Forest is the top-ranked employer in North Carolina, the only college or university in the state to make the list and No. 7 in the education category.

Produced in partnership with market research firm Statista, the annual ranking is based primarily on survey responses from more than 146,000 women working for U.S. employers with at least 1,000 employees. The evaluation considers factors such as career advancement, pay equity, work-life balance, family benefits and women’s representation in leadership. The final ranking recognizes the 700 highest-scoring employers nationwide.
