Information Systems staff member Ken Sugden has passed 

Kenneth “Ken” Sugden Jr. (’93, MBA ’03), senior enterprise applications administrator in Information Systems, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Ken served the University for over 32 years. 

“Ken was a pillar of the Wake Forest community,” said Information Systems CIO Mur Muchane. “Throughout his three decades of service, his dedication and deep institutional knowledge were surpassed only by his kindness. He was more than a colleague; he was a fixture of our University family, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.”

The Wake Forest community extends its condolences to Ken’s family and friends. An obituary can be found here. A memorial service honoring Ken’s life and contributions to the Wake Forest community is being planned by Information Systems. Additional details will be shared on Inside WFU when available.
